HIGH VOLUME ACRYLIC BODY ROTAMETER is useful for general purpose application like water, air and inert gases. The tapered metering tube is drilled in the solid block and the scale is engraved on the body itself. The other features are similar to the GTR-19 except that it cannot be used for corrosive application and for temperature above 60 Deg C. Flow range is available from 100 to 40,000 LPH for water and 0.5 to 450 m3/hr for air

GLASS TUBE ROTAMETER

GLASS TUBE ROTAMETER consist of a tapered glass tube mounted vertically in a frame with the small diameter at the bottom and large end up. The tube contains a free moving float that rests on the stopper at the base of the tube. When the liquid flows, the float rises until its weight is balanced by the up thrust of the fluid and the float reaches a position of equilibrium. At this position it indicates the instantaneous rate of flow. The flow rate can be read from the adjacent scale.

The pressure drop across the float is equal to its weight divided by its maximum cross-sectional area in the horizontal plane. Both in orifice type meter and in the Rotameter, the pressure drop arises from the conversion of pressure energy to kinetic energy and from the frictional losses. Thus Rotameter may be considered as an orifice meter with a variable aperture and the formula derived for the orifice meter is applicable here with only minor changes

METAL BODY ROTAMETER

METAL TUBE ROTAMETER is available for use in harsher duties in liquids and gases where glass tubes are not allowed for safety reasons. These are very rugged and robust yet inexpensive for flow rate indication purposes. MTR can be used for opaque and turbid fluids at high operating temperature and pressures. The Flow is indicated by a pointer, which is magnetically coupled with the float that rises in a tapered tube with increase in flow.

BYE PASS ROTAMETER

BYPASS ROTAMETERS are available for line sizes 2" and above. The complete assembly consists of an Orifice plate, Carrier Ring/Flanges of the main pipe line, by-pass piping with isolation valve and fittings, range orifice and the Rotameter. The Orifice calculations and design is bases on IS or BS standard. Bypass Rotameters are the most economical solution for flow measurement in large pipe lines and for large rate of flow but the use is limited to solid particles and slurries that tend to clog the range orifice and may result in malfunctioning.
