The Hydro-Probe XT has been designed to measure moisture in grain, animal feed, nuts and other organic and agricultural materials. It has integral signal processing which provides a linear output (both digital and analogue) and it can easily be connected to any control system.
Designed for use in processing plants which use bins (silos), chutes and conveyor or feed belts, the sensor is positioned into the flow of material and measurements are taken 25 times per second as the material passes over or around the sensing face. This means the sensor rapidly detects changes in moisture levels enabling real time adjustments to the moisture content of the material to be made during processing if required. This ensures the manufacturer can continually produce a consistent, quality product and reduce costs by limiting the amount of wasted or spoilt materials.
The Hydro-Probe XT incorporates the unique Hydronix digital measurement technique for extreme precision and also provides a choice of measurement modes allowing the user to select the most appropriate mode based on the material being measured. The sensor is also equipped with on-board functionality such as configurable digital inputs and outputs, signal smoothing, batch averaging and high and low moisture alarms. This versatile moisture sensor may be used as a stand-alone unit with a display such as the Hydro-View, or easily integrated with a third party automation system using the analogue and digital communications.

FOR MOISTURE MEASUREMENT IN MIXERS & CONVEYORS
The Hydro-Mix is a rugged, flush mounted microwave moisture measurement sensor for mixers and conveyors in process control environments. Designed by Hydronix to be installed in the turbulent environment of a mixer, the Hydro-Mix features integral signal processing and is easily connected to any control system. The sensor measures at 25 times per second which enables rapid response to any changes in moisture content, including the determination of homogeneity.
The Hydro-Mix sensor offers a choice of measurement modes for optimising the sensor performance typically for minerals such as sand, aggregates and concrete or for measuring moisture in organic materials such as grain, nuts and oil. The sensor is designed to be fitted flush within a mixer, screw conveyor (auger) or in a chute. For conveyor belt applications, the Hydro-Mix sensor is installed using the Hydro-Skid pantograph arm enabling the sensor to ride over the surface of the flowing material.
Remote configuration, calibration, diagnostics and firmware upgrades can easily be undertaken using Hydronix Hydro-Com software. This allows direct integration with any control system without the requirement of any other interface unit. Combined with on-board functionality such as signal processing, smoothing and averaging, the Hydro-Mix is simple to integrate.

The Hydro-Probe was the first moisture sensor to use the digital microwave moisture measurement technique. It has integral signal processing which provides a linear output (both digital and analogue) and it can easily be connected to any control system. Typical applications include sand, cement, concrete, asphalt and aggregates. For organic materials the Hydro-Probe XT is recommended.
